Just back from a short but wonderful trip to Squaw Valley. If only there wasn't a storm today! I'm a bit disappointed I didn't get to go skating at High Camp, which was my planned activity for today. I would've been able to skate on the same ice that Carol Heiss skated on to win Olympic gold in 1960! *sigh*
Snow is so beautiful and magical. The resort and its surroundings looked like a painting. I loved it when it started snowing and all this powdery white snow started sprinkling down. I've never lived anywhere that snowed in the winters (Guam- tropical and hot; Fremont- nope; Berkeley- rainy at worst), and I kind of want to. Although it might take away the magic of snow for me, and I'd start being like, "STUPID SNOW!!(#$@&(& I HATE YOU!!"
A list of stuff I'm looking forward to in the coming weeks/the coming month:
1. Norah Jones's new album Feels Like Home out on Feb 10.
2. World Championships in March. Go Michelle Kwan! Make it #6!
3. GETTING MY PUG! and naming him/her Nickey, after Nick Van Exel.
4. Buying my own pair of figure skates- Jacksons DJ 2071.
