Recently Nickey has been frequenting the Shoreline Dog Park in Mountain View. We took him there again today where he was in for a real treat. Right when we got there, a whole gang of people came in with their American Eskimo, Sugar, and one lady was carrying a pink bakery box. It was Sugar's 1st birthday and they'd decided to celebrate at the dog park, with all the dogs there as honored guests. Sugar looked as if she'd just been groomed, so she looked fabulous. She had on a very cute bandana as well, and was one of the most playful eskies I've ever met.

So what was in the pink bakery box? A bone-shaped apple spice birthday cake with cream cheese frosting. It looked and smelled delicious, and sure enough all the dogs went crazy for it. Nickey enjoyed himself a small piece :) Sugar's owners got it from Five Paw Bakery in Los Altos (they also have a store in Valley Fair mall). They were really nice and offered cake to everyone, even the dogs in the large dog section. They even had bags of fancy dog biscuits set out and plastic bags for everyone to take home as a goodie bag. Or a DOGGIE bag, if you will. Har har.. R D R R. Nickey had lots of fun playing with Bella, a cute black pug puppy he has taken a liking to (this was their 2nd time playing together). They looked like little lovebirds, so I guess Nickey swings both ways :)
