There's nothing like a movie to unearth certain thoughts & emotions from beneath your subconscious, which is where you prefer to keep them hidden away. Toss in a moody soundtrack and forget it- the rest of your night will be spent brooding away.

Case in point: just watched The Last Kiss starring Zach Braff of Scrubs and Garden State fame. At a friend's wedding, Braff's character Michael suddenly has an epiphany and realizes that at 29, his life has turned out pretty much as he's always expected it to. This sparks feelings of unsettledness and a desire to take a detour from his safe, predictable life. He watches his friends getting married & having children, loving and losing people they thought they'd end up with, aching to run away from everything.

While this could prove to be an entertaining movie for people of all ages, I know that there are a select few (including yours truly) for whom this movie will really strike a chord.

On a lighter note, the movie does have a great soundtrack. Look for another great song by Snow Patrol and a soulful duet with Joshua Radin & Schuyler Fisk.
